comment_fic prompt falling in love with a teacher
It's a silent, surprising thing. It's easy to stare when he's in front of the class. Even when he's teaching he smiles easy and looks confident.
He always says the most interesting things and makes even the most mundane subjects magic. Maybe Rogue just has a bit of a tilted view on the whole thing.
Rogue's been doing well in her tactical advantage class. Scott teaches it and it's not at all hard for her to learn when his mouth is moving. It's distracting, but she wants to remember every second.
He'll never notice her though. He's a teacher and she's his student. This isn't a hentia manga or a bad lifetime movie. This is her life and she never gets that lucky.
"Rogue," he says as she's leaving class and her heart jumps.
"Yes?" she says turning back to him.
"That plan you outlined in your essay is the best I've had all year. You used all the strength of your team and found the weakness of your opponents in what wasn't an easy situation. Keep this up and you might be captaining your own team one day."
He gives her a smile that melts her heart like butter. She can barely nod through the fog of delight.
"Thanks," she says and walks out of the room. She's walking on cloud nine and will be until reality sets in. He thinks she did a good job. He says she was the best. Her heart shouldn't be so overjoyed about such a small compliment, but god help her she is. She's been falling in love with a teacher for almost a year now and no amount of common sense can stop it.
