scottandrogueSo here's the start of it. It's mainly going to be a picspam of anything Scogue related with a few details or comments by me. And should you save the files, ignore the title, I was going to individually name them their episode, but ended up forgetting about it until it was too late.
I posted this years ago to the LJ community but never crossposted it here. So while I had promised I'd do more screencaps/picspams... that didn't actually happen. Sorry! Maybe eventually.
**** WILL CONTAIN SPOILERS FOR THE ANIMATED SERIES IF YOU'VE NEVER SEEN IT.
Rogue notices that Scott is nervous ^.^ They get interrupted by MRD guys coming though.
She, Scott, and Gambit then battle the MRD guys.
Lowdown: Sentinels attack the X-Men and they get ambushed, just as one is going to "kill" Logan, Morph steps in and pushes him out of the way. Beast gets captured by the MRD guys. Logan wants to stay and fight and save Beast and Morph even though Morph is already gone. However due to the X-Men being overwelmed, Scott tells them to retreat. Logan refuses, telling him that nobody tells him what to do. Just as he passes Rogue, she takes off her glove and touches him enough to weaken him.
** So maybe its not really shippy, but well damnit Rogue makes sure Logan can't go after the sentinels alone, which is what Scott ordered him to do.
(Please note that BOTH hands somehow are covered with the green cloth part of her uniform, I found that funny.)
Again not really shippy, but Scott swinging on a rope? Heh.
ENTER THE EPISODE "DEADLY REUNIONS"
Scott and Rogue (and the other X-men) vs. Magneto
Needless to say, the battle didn't begin well - Scott is knocked out by some gas or something or another. Storm is knocked into a wall, and it was about collapse on her but Rogue held it up, but she couldn't hold it up and it collapsed on both of them. When Rogue gets out of the wall and gets to Storm, she finds out that Scott is knocked out. She goes to him. ;D
So without hesitating, Rogue gives Scott mouth-to-mouth after some talk (she called Scott "pretty boy" lol & the fact that she won't tell Jean). Yeah I know its not a real "kiss" but hell it's the closest we go to one.
Anyway, Scott smiles at her when he wakes up. And just as Rogue is about to say something, his powers activate in her and she shoots lazers out of her eyes. She freaks out a bit because she doesn't know how to shut them off (which seriously makes me wonder how she couldn't have known how to). Surprisingly even though several close calls, she doesn't hit Scott - which also makes me wonder if he'd be immune to it since it's techincally his ability anyway like he's supposed to be immune to Havok's in the comics.
After getting up, he tells her to shut her eyes, and she does, he collapses again. She walks around trying to find him.
-cut to a disappointing battle between Professor X and Magneto.... I MEAN REALLY. If anyone remembers this scene/episode, tell me you can't be disappointed with how bad it was.-
Either way we have ending to that scene where Rogue is carrying both Cyclops and Storm over to Professor X who then becomes Rogue's eyes to get them out of there.
Now comes even more good stuff:
Rogue, Cyclops, Storm, and the others enter the sick bay (I believe since it has beds in the room.)
LOOK!!!!! ROGUE HAS SCOTT'S SHADES!!!!
Rogue takes off the shades and then:
Rogue: We have to do it again sometime...
Cyclops: Yeah, well, umm..
*interrupted again, ugh*
Anyway the below pictures showcase Rogue saying that.
<and despite his facial expression he doesn't sound angry, more surprised/hesitate and in shock?>
Rogue and the X-men just learn about the cure. As you can see Rogue is really shocked.
Rogue stares at Scott as he states he understands how some mutants would want to take the cure, to be "normal" again.
Logan however disbelieves anyone on the team would take part or something along those lines. Clearly he's freaking wrong.
Then Rogue glances over towards Scott and Jean's entwined hands with a sad longing on her face.
<In between this scene and possibly the next episode because I can't remember if the next few pix are apart of it, Jean states to Scott that she's worried about Rogue - just as Rogue runs away from the school to go to Muir Island, where "the cure" would be. He says he doesn't understand why she should be worried about Rogue, in which she explains about the longing Rogue has for touch and how she can't touch due to her abilities. I input this here because I find it really weird for Scott to say this or not realize this before. Maybe it's because he's a guy and sorta oblivious, but I would have thought it be obvious to ALL of the X-men how Rogue might feel about the cure.
Clearly I was wrong.... although Jean seems to be the exception.
Rogue ends up not taking the cure because due to her abilities she's able to save people and help her teammates out.
The cure is revealed to be in reality a machine that transforms the mutants into the Horsemen of Apocolypse. Which makes me wonder if this in the end inspired the Evo writers at all how to take the Apocolypse and enterwine Rogue into it. Apocolypse & Mystique had wanted Rogue to become the first Horsemen. I mean hello, Rogue is the one to release Apocolypse in the Evo cartoon (and also Mystique was behind her).>
While still on the island, the other mutants are anxious to take the cure while Cyclops (and sorta Jean) comforts Rogue about doing the right thing (aka not taking the cure).
She later tries to help Scott in stopping the mutants from taking the cure, however "Warren" was too convincing. (It's actually Mystique pretending to be Warren, who had actually became the first Horsemen aka Angel of Death)
So in the episode "Come Apolocypse" we have the scene above which isn't actually shippy, but hell I like to think it sorta is because Scott's like in the scene with her for like everything at the end as she tries to convince Angel to join the X-Men.
<also such a glitch in the art, I mean suddenly Scott's in front of Rogue and she has to walk in front of him when she was clearly in front of him before.>
