Sorta spoilery if you don't read the comics, or at least that issue. Although as a Scogue fan, you will enjoy this little news even if you aren't a comics fan.

So in Uncanny X-Men Issue #504, Emma Frost (Scott's current girlfriend), goes into Scott's mind for whatever reason (not sure because I actually didn't read the series). I just know she stumbles upon all the women that Scott had been attracted to at one time or another. That's basically what the above photo represents.
Now you might be like why is this here? First - ROGUE IS THERE IN THE FRICKIN PICTURE, so CLEARLY sometime in the comic series Scott had been or IS attracted to Rogue. That's the most important thing that I get from that photo.
The second, is I was wondering if anyone actually READ that comic issue and tell me any more information - even if it doesn't actually pertain any info into the Scott/Rogue attraction. Also if there was any more pictures to go with, maybe (even if it doesn't have Scott/Rogue)?
Thirdly, see what reactions you guys for all the women that is featured in the page. Besides Rogue and Emma, the image depicts Dazzler, Psylocke, 2 versions of Storm, Mystique. The other ones in the back are I *believe* Black Cat & Marrow, Emma as the White Queen, and possibly Selene, but I'm sorta doubting that one. Does anyone else like Scott with them, or no?
Personally and firstly, I love the pairing of Scott&Mystique AND Scott/Emma. And should that be Black Cat, I'd love that one too. Scott with Dazzler & Psylocke, I don't mind too much. Although I prefer Scott & Storm to be friends, I wouldn't say nay to that pairing either. Marrow, is fine too I guess - I'm not as familiar with her as I am with the others.
** It's not exactly news, since I think the issue has been around for a while now, but I just stumbled upon this picture and found out about it so I just figured I share it with everyone just in case you haven't seen it.

Date: 2011-10-02 08:23 pm (UTC)We should do a post of the other potential ladies that Cyke could be with. Spice things up. Either way, that's good news. Wish they did it sooner, but what can you do?

Date: 2011-10-03 03:07 am (UTC)I knew about the Psylocke/Scott and the Dazzler/Scott (or at least I believe in the Animated Series they sorta had a little thing that caused Jean to be jealous - from what I remember). I just knew Scott/Storm were friends, didn't realize there was any actual interest from either character.
Do you think that image depicts a recent Rogue or a past Rogue? I swear the outfit looks familiar but I'm that familiar with like every comics X-men went through. Sorta looks like it could be when the Savage Land, but then it also looks like a recent image of Rogue too.
Yeah a discussion post that might be interesting - especially since I love sooo many X-Men pairings and Scott is featured in a lot of them as is Rogue.

Date: 2011-10-03 03:12 am (UTC)I am pretty sure the Rogue image you cited looks like from her Savage Land days. (I have an old scan somewhere, and that's the image. I have to find it, one of these days.) Either way, the way it was torn, yeah, not that I would blame Scott for looking. Heh.
(Also, if you seen the next entry, Rogue also pops up elsewhere in Scott's head. Just saying.)
I don't remember Dazzler, now I'm intrigued. Heh.

Date: 2011-10-03 03:38 am (UTC)I don't remember if there was any flirtation in the comics for Dazzler/Scott, but I do know that for like the one episode or two episodes that Dazzler was in the cartoon, Scott & her were close. **Or if you were talking about who Dazzler was, she's the one in the front of this picture that has the star thing on her breast (as well as the weird thing going on with her one breast is pointing up the other down - which is pretty much the only bad thing about the photo I think, besides having the minipictures in the back that I can't completely tell who the people are. I have no idea how no one noticed that before they published it.)

Date: 2011-10-03 03:43 am (UTC)Yes, I know who Dazzler is, but I didn't recall seeing her in the 90's show. (She has a cameo in Wolvie and the X-Men, though.)
I'll answer about the other people in the proper entry, as I might have a clue with one of them.

Date: 2011-10-03 04:17 am (UTC)However, this is a Rogue/Scott board, so perhaps I stay on topic! :)

Date: 2011-10-03 04:30 am (UTC)Indeed. Although, the topic should be posed in a future entry. Got to talk about the competition, right?

Date: 2011-10-03 05:08 pm (UTC)I also feel they misused Jean. I haven't researched her as much as Rogue (my iconic heroine) in the comics, but I don't like seeing Jean as the damsel in distress who cheats (in one way or another) on the man she loves. That doesn't speak well to her. So in Wolverine and the X-Men, I didn't appreciate her characterization.
To say nothing of the fact that Jean didn't help Scott's characterization in that cartoon. Grrr!
Rogue and Emma were absolutely fantastic, on the other hand. :)

Date: 2011-10-03 05:15 pm (UTC)Yeah, I don't know if it's because the writers don't like Jean, or they're taking their cue from Marvel and Grant Morrison's New X-Men arc. The series had many homages to Morrison's arc, which had its ups and downs. I just worry that Jean might end up in obscurity because of which, but that's for another time.
Yeah, I might write on Scott's W&X-Men characterization, as, oh, did he fall hard.
No, Jean might be tempted, but, no, she isn't a cheater. I think Jean is a Mary Sue, yet I can't see myself dumping on her, as canon has done a good job with that.
