Uncanny X-Men #504

Sorta spoilery if you don't read the comics, or at least that issue. Although as a Scogue fan, you will enjoy this little news even if you aren't a comics fan.

So in Uncanny X-Men Issue #504, Emma Frost (Scott's current girlfriend), goes into Scott's mind for whatever reason (not sure because I actually didn't read the series). I just know she stumbles upon all the women that Scott had been attracted to at one time or another. That's basically what the above photo represents.

Now you might be like why is this here? First - ROGUE IS THERE IN THE FRICKIN PICTURE, so CLEARLY sometime in the comic series Scott had been or IS attracted to Rogue. That's the most important thing that I get from that photo.

The second, is I was wondering if anyone actually READ that comic issue and tell me any more information - even if it doesn't actually pertain any info into the Scott/Rogue attraction. Also if there was any more pictures to go with, maybe (even if it doesn't have Scott/Rogue)?

Thirdly, see what reactions you guys for all the women that is featured in the page. Besides Rogue and Emma, the image depicts Dazzler, Psylocke, 2 versions of Storm, Mystique. The other ones in the back are I *believe* Black Cat & Marrow, Emma as the White Queen, and possibly Selene, but I'm sorta doubting that one. Does anyone else like Scott with them, or no?

Personally and firstly, I love the pairing of Scott&Mystique AND Scott/Emma. And should that be Black Cat, I'd love that one too. Scott with Dazzler & Psylocke, I don't mind too much. Although I prefer Scott & Storm to be friends, I wouldn't say nay to that pairing either. Marrow, is fine too I guess - I'm not as familiar with her as I am with the others.

** It's not exactly news, since I think the issue has been around for a while now, but I just stumbled upon this picture and found out about it so I just figured I share it with everyone just in case you haven't seen it.

While I wasn't sure about the Emma/Scott canon ship, I do like the Wolvie and the X-Men take. Nice build-up, and I did feel for Emma by the season (series) finale. Poor girl.

I know, arg. Couldn't it have been Jean?

I don't go there, as I think the show did its share of dumping on Jean. (Comatose for the majority of the season, just in time for the Phoenix Force to show up.) But out of shipper's sense, I gotcha.

I hear you. And there are interpretations of Jean I appreciate and I like her in, but not that universe. I thought her treatment of Scott was appalling so I was not thrilled that Emma died for her. Emma should've lived and Scott should've manned up enough to deserve her.

However, this is a Rogue/Scott board, so perhaps I stay on topic! :)

I blame the writers, so go yell at them for misusing for Jean. (Oh, boy, were they horrible with Magneto.) Although, they had said that they would have resurrected Emma in Season 2, so no worries?

Indeed. Although, the topic should be posed in a future entry. Got to talk about the competition, right?

You just made my day!!! Now I'm gonna like the series (which I already love!) even more and I may even lay off Jean a little more. Resurrect Emma, yay! Thanks so much for telling me that.

I also feel they misused Jean. I haven't researched her as much as Rogue (my iconic heroine) in the comics, but I don't like seeing Jean as the damsel in distress who cheats (in one way or another) on the man she loves. That doesn't speak well to her. So in Wolverine and the X-Men, I didn't appreciate her characterization.

To say nothing of the fact that Jean didn't help Scott's characterization in that cartoon. Grrr!

Rogue and Emma were absolutely fantastic, on the other hand. :)

Well, from the DVD commentary, I know the writers loved Emma, so they would have brought her back somehow. Take heart in that, as you obviously did.

Yeah, I don't know if it's because the writers don't like Jean, or they're taking their cue from Marvel and Grant Morrison's New X-Men arc. The series had many homages to Morrison's arc, which had its ups and downs. I just worry that Jean might end up in obscurity because of which, but that's for another time.

Yeah, I might write on Scott's W&X-Men characterization, as, oh, did he fall hard.

No, Jean might be tempted, but, no, she isn't a cheater. I think Jean is a Mary Sue, yet I can't see myself dumping on her, as canon has done a good job with that.

I agree! Well said!
