Apparently, the 10th anniversary of X-Men: Evolution is coming around the corner (11/4/2000). The entry is to rouse and/or refresh anyone having their own plans for the 10th anniversary, be it with Scott/Rogue or other concepts. Of course, we can't neglect the 2000 movie, which inspired the series, either. (If anyone is interested, the movie was released in the US on 7/14/2000).
To that end, I hope to attempt my first Scott/Rogue ficlet, or at least do something to promote this fine, still-under appreciated series. Here's to hoping that others will have the same idea.
Has it been 10 years, already? Time flies.

Date: 2010-06-09 02:57 pm (UTC)When I look at the comics and everybody is trying to get Scott/Jean together, they almost feel like they're pressuring him into making that decision not out of honest feelings but for the sake of the team. That's why I don't feel it with them.
With Rogue and Scott, I feel it, it's there. There is so much potential there. She can't read his mind, he has to speak up and actually talk to her. That makes it all the more realistic and natural.
Rogue with Remy, it's been done to death, it's like if she's not with him then there's nobody else, limiting the growth of the canon overall. Plus, Remy doesn't look like the most stable guy to be with, Rogue needs someone stable and reliable. Someone like Scott.
*sighs* Great to get that off my chest.

Date: 2010-06-09 03:09 pm (UTC)Scott/Jean doesn't bother me, but I do wish they fleshed it out. Have them develop organic feelings, and take it from there. X-Men Evo rather botched it, as the series was about to end, so "let's shoehorn the canon couples."
As for Rogue/Remy, I did post an entry about that, recently, so channel your thoughts there. Otherwise, I do agree with you.
I also really like your remark of stability, as that kind of trait isn't emphasized in our media/culture, like at all.
